The Supervisory council of the Special Economic Zone will consider PRAXAIR project

On March 30th, 2012, the meeting of the Supervisory Council of SEZ-Togliatti is planned. During the meeting, the project of American corporation PRAXAIR will be considered on establishment of industrial gases production on SEZ territory. PRAXAIR has already registered in the region its daughter structure – Praxair Samara LLC. The company plans to supply its products to the enterprises of Togliatti and to the residents of SEZ.

PRAXAIR is one of the world leaders in production of industrial gases. Besides, it is engaged in production of wear-resistant metal and ceramic coats, powders and sputters. The products are used widely in aerospace, petrochemical, power, metallurgical, food, electronic, medical, printing, and other industries.

The Russian division of the company Praxair Rus LLC, was established in September 2008. It invested around 250 million USD in modernization and development of enterprises operating in Russia. Praxair Rus LLC produces atmospheric gases with use of modern air separators and supply systems, as well as technical and special-application gases and related technologies.

REFERENCE

The Supervisory Council of the Special Economic Zone of Togliatti was established aiming to coordinate the activities of the state authorities participating in the project, for consideration and approval of the plans for SEZ development, and supervision over the implementation of such plans.

Moreover, the Council is the first level of authority to consider the projects of the companies claiming to become the SEZ residents of, and take decision to recommend the business plans of these companies to be examined by the Expert Board of industrial economic zones under the Ministry of Economic Development of Russian Federation, for further improvement or voting down.  

The Council includes representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russian Federation, the Government of Samara region, administration of Stavropol municipal district, and the SEZ Manager - JSC Special Economic Zones.
