Special Economic Zone project goes forward at a steady gait

In April, the residents of the Special Economic Zone in Togliatti are planning to commence construction of their own production facilities.  The process will go on in parallel with creation of SEZ infrastructure, financed by the federal budget.

The new residents are drawn in to the project. Only during the last couple of weeks, twelve meetings were held in the SEZ rep office with the top management of the companies planning to obtain the residents’ status.  A considerable part of these negotiations are held with the foreign companies interested in localizing their hi-tech enterprises in the territory of SEZ.

This spree of activity is not accidental. Good prospects of SEZ are well-explained by local abundance of highly-qualified labor force, developed infrastructure, large sales market, and considerable benefits to SEZ residents.
